The Internet is buzzing with a rumour that Sony Corporation will be unveiling its PSP2 handheld game console during a conference that is scheduled to take place in Tokyo later this month.
Leaked pictures, claimed to be of the PSP2 prototype, have also been circulating since late last year. In the photos, the device has a slide-out control port, like the current PSP Go, but has dual analogue sticks.
Sony has announced a business overview and strategy meeting for Jan 27, and press from all over the globe have been invited to attend.
It is speculated that Sony is refreshing its PSP portable game system in view of the imminent launch of rival Nintendo Co Ltd's 3D-equipped 3DS handheld game device next month in Japan.
